A short post today, as we couldn’t resist bringing your attention to the wonderful thing that our colleagues over at The Phillips Collection have done to celebrate their recent, and hugely popular, exhibition Van Gogh Repetitions.
We can only imagine that they must have wondered, as we have, whether anyone today could pull off a beard like the one on van Gogh’s famous postman.
The answer?
Yes.
During the run of the exhibition, The Phillips Collection offered beard cutouts to museum visitors, and encouraged them to Instagram or tweet photos of their bearded selves. It turns out, people (and pets) look marvelous in that beard…
